Local Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering offers people an opportunity to take part in activities which are of interest to them, to make a contribution to society, to learn new skills and to make new friends.  The following volunteering opportunities are local to Frampton Cotterell.

Village Action  We are involved in a number activities. No specific skills are required beyond a desire to make a difference to the community.
  • Good Neighbours. Through the Good Neighbours scheme we offer help and support to people in the village who require it.
  • Litter Busters. Our team goes out once a month to help to clear up litter and to keep our village looking tidy.
  • Himalayan Balsam clearing. During the summer months we work along the River Frome to slow the proliferation of Himalayan Balsam which would otherwise out compete native plants.
  • Community Orchard. We help to manage the trees in the Community Orchard.
Floral Friends of Frampton. Floral Friends are active in the village maintaining and enhancing floral displays. An interest in plants and horticulture would be a benefit but help with other practical tasks would also be welcomed. Contact floralfriends@

Frampton Youth Club. The youth club in Frampton Cotterell meets twice a week at the Brockeridge Centre. In order to be able to offer a service to the maximum number of young people they welcome volunteers who are able to support the youth workers. No special skills are necessary but an interest in and empathy with young people would be a benefit. Contact .....
