The campaign team have issued an update about some forthcoming events including a Photo Call on Saturday 16 June at the public footpath leading from St Saviours Rise/Blackberry Drive. Richard Merrick, campaign organiser states:

"The Gazette photo next Saturday morning the 16th June at 11.00 am will give us an opportunity for really good publicity and I hope that it will be very well supported.   If you have a poster board and you are able to bring it, please do so.  I will be bringing 'the banner' and some extra posters. I have already arranged with the Gazette to have an accompanying Press release."

Another important event is the Examination in Public of the SGC Core Strategy which commences on Tuesday 19th June and is scheduled to last over three weeks. On all dates, members of the public can attend and show support by applause but not take part in the discussion. A good attendance will show that local people are concerned about the issue. The Programme Officer has published a timetable that allocates the day on which Rural Areas (CS 34) will be discussed and this includes the status of Woodlands Farm. This will take place on Thursday 12th July pm.

For more information see the South Glos Council website.  In particular you may wish to see statements submitted by objectors to the Core Strategy, noting that Ian Mellor Barton Willmore (3557665) is acting on behalf of Barratts Development re Woodlands Farm.  They are also expected to speak on 19th and 20th June promoting Frampton Cotterell for development.

Finally, The Campaign Team has a table at the Car Boot Sale, Beesmoor Road on Sun 8th July–to raise funds to continue the campaign to raise awareness of the Woodlands Farm issue.  Your ‘Bric-a-Brac’ is urgently required. Items can be delivered to Christine Renwick, 63 Park Lane or Richard Merrick, 41 Park Lane or we can collect. Ring Christine on  07766057233.
