Litter Busters Update

Following the litter picking session on Monday 15 August a number of further sessions have been planned (see Diary for details).  Andrew Edgington who organises Village Action Litter Busters says:

"We plan to carry out monthly litter picking sessions like the very successful one we did on Monday 15th August.  I know how busy people are so I thought it would be good to set some dates.

All sessions will start at 10.00am. You are free to do as much or as little as you wish – it’s purely voluntary.  People normally do 60-90 minutes, working in pairs.  It’s up to you!   If you are happy to keep the area near your home clear and don’t wish to take part in these sessions, that’s fine as well. However I would say that we enjoy the sessions and it’s an opportunity to get out and about and widen your contacts in the village.

I have varied the days of the week as I know some people have fixed commitments on certain days. I’ve avoided Fridays.  I have also avoided December when people tend to have lots to do and the weather can be poor.

Please join us as and when you can and don’t worry if you can’t make any of the sessions.

I have picked a number of different venues to meet up to make it easier to concentrate our efforts in different parts of the village.    I will hand out gloves, bags, pickers, hoops etc but please bring your own picker and hoop if you have one. "
