Neighbourhood Policing

Although our area is relatively free of crime, many people feel that they would like to see a more visible police presence.  However, much of what the police do in our community is behind the scenes and only visible to those directly involved.

You can find out more about what is going on in community policing by visiting the Avon and Somerset Constabulary website and viewing the latest information about the Frampton Cotterell beat which includes Coalpit Heath and Westerleigh.  Here you can access the Neighbourhood Watch Newsletter, find out more about joining or creating a Neighbourhood Watch scheme in your streets, discover more about opportunities for volunteering with the police and lots more.

The next meeting of the Safer, Stronger Community Group takes place in September at St Saviours' Church (see Diary for details) and is your opportunity to meet members of the beat team and to raise any concerns which you might have.
