Park Farm Pond Clearance

A group from The Conservation Volunteers recently carried out the clearance of the pond at Park Farm with the assistance of a number of local volunteers. The pond was becoming clogged with Canadian Pondweed, an invasive plant which grows quickly and out competes native species.  By clearing it at this time of year the pond will have time to settle down before the fish, amphibians and ducks start their breeding season.

If anyone is interested in getting involved in conservation activities in future, please contact us.
