Village Action Update

Some of the things happening in Frampton Cotterell & Coalpit Heath in coming weeks - please let Village Action know if you are interested in any of the events:

  1. Regular litter-picks are starting again with a new coordinator and website for coordination.  The next one is on Mon 15th Aug  - meet 10am at the Brockeridge Centre or 2pm outside St Peter's Church.  If you already keep an area clear or would like to join a small group occasionally (or regularly), please contact litter busters or leave your details at the Brockeridge Centre.  Also let them know if there is a particularly bad area that needs attention.
  2. FREE  Summer Walks & Picnics in The Park: meet 11am in Crossbow car park for walks and 1pm near Play Area in Park, School Rd (bring picnic & rug/seat) on Sundays: 3rd July, Aug 21st, Sept 4th.  Pass the word around.  Residents asked for these activities - we need your  support if they are to continue next year.
  3. Bluebell planting: the Parish Council has invited Village Action to participate in planting Bluebells in the Centenary Field, this Sept or October.  Let us know if you wish to participate.
  4. New Activity Wall has been erected near the Basketball Court and over-flow car park in The Park, School Rd.  An Urban Art Wall is situated on the back of the Activity Wall.  There is also a new aerial runway in the same park. These items are all direct actions following Village Action's Surveys of 2009.
