The SGC Planning Committee paid a visit to Frampton Cotterell/Coalpit Heath to inspect the green field which Barratts want to turn into a housing estate. About fifty local people of all ages braved the biting cold wind to show their support for the campaign opposing this development.

In addition to allowing local people to voice their objections to the site and a representative of Barratts to state the case for the development, the committee walked the site so that they could see it in the context of the local landscape. They then did a tour of the surrounding roads so that they could gain an impression of the potential impact on the surrounding area and transport infrastructure.

When the planning application comes before the planning committee for formal consideration, residents will get a further opportunity to voice their objections. The date for this will be confirmed later.
